Acceptance of the Dark(The Coming of Reality)
By Robert Tabb

I sat in the dark
Calm and soothing
Basking in the cold
I'm waiting for something
But I am gently crying
Tears of mediocrity flow
from my eyes
What is that sound?
The dust is just settling
Over and around my exhausted body
Sleep is ignoring me
In this cave of dark boredom
The flashlight in my pocket
Is worthless without batteries
Irrelavent realization
The dark is all I have
For it to depart
Reality must return
I won't let it
I can't make it
I wouldn't want it
To destroy my tranquility
