Fathomed Mourn

Heavy clouds hang low from a morning sky
waves break on massive rocks
ships sail thru a vast bottomless ocean
Gulls glide near old wooden docks.

Porpus fins cut thru salty waters
shelled creatures crawl on sandy beaches
souls of a thousand lost sailors mourn
from ships fathomed in the deepest.

Wind lift birds to the sky
the ocean plays its morning song
using the beach as its instrument
from sea, by sand, mermaids are drawn.
