I ran all day today for many many hours
until I ran into a fence I was incredibly
angered by this fence It blocked my path
and I could not circumnavigate it no
matter how hard I tried Damn it all!
I followed the fence for many more hours
until it turned left Well shit! When will it end?
Will it end? I kept on and kept on i tripped
over a rock and fell I broke my nose It
was okay though, it bled a little
Eventually it turned left once
again I then walked on and
on It felt like it would never
end but I just had to know what
was on the other side of this fence
After a few hours I came accross a snake
It was so beautiful It was enticing I felt
this overwhelming urge to pick it up I reached
for it It said, "DO not attempt to touch me for
I am a poisonous snake." Why, would youattempt
to cause me harm if I did? "No, I wouldn't
attempt, I would cause you definite harm.
There would be no need to attempt."
I pondered this for several minutes
before I reached out and picked up
this beautiful creature it didn't
attack right away for some reason it
hesitated I think it must have really
liked me Maybe it was my warmth Then
suddenly it bit my arm I watched intently
as it's fangs sunk in and injected it's
venom an hour or so later it looked up
at me "How come you didn't drop me?" You
are way too beautiful of a creature to do
that. "Well, why aren't you dead yet?" I can't
really answer that one I'm sorry Then without a
word it slithered off into the woods I continued my
hike It wasn't long until I hit another turn Once
agian it was to the left My arm was quite numb
by now I was worried that it may fall off.
I walked a little longer It was another hour
before I realized that my arm had in fact been
detatched and it was hanging by a piece of the
bone 'Crack!' I ripped it off The dragging was
slowing me down At this rate I would never reach
the other side ANother left turn I'll find the end
eventually The sky changed I couldn't figure it
out It seemed somehow darker Yet it was a
reddish color The moon was smiling a
wicked smile that struck fear into
my heart It was the first fear
I had felt in years All the
stars formed a brilliantly
lit ring around the
moon Aside from that
ring there was
nothing but
eternal
redness
another
left
I
was
blind in
one eye The
other one was
hazy The world is
a blur I said with
trembling in my voice
another left I ran on faster
and faster anther left I suddenly
came to the end It was a gate I gigantic
gate There were celestial signs all over it
My arm was back, I could see Wow! I couldn't figure
this out. This was a truly strange occurance but
I didn't really care The place was so well lit and
beautiful Where am I? I approached the gate and the
gaurd said, "What is your name?" My name is Rat-Lover
"You may enter" he stated in an overly happy tone for
a gaurd When I went in it was the prettiest place I had
ever seen Mercury was here He was flying accross the clouds
with such joy There was no sun to melt away the wax It
worked so perfectly After an hour I was approached
by a strange looking man with a white beard, "Mikulas,
that's my name. YOu have come to this wonderous place
and it will be your home." Are you serious? Where am
I to live? I have no money. . . "Money, hahaha.
You need not worry about money here wealth is
abundant and you have a house down in the valley
next to the Rio del Tiempo." I get a house by the
river, How did I manage that? I bet everyone wants
a house by the river. "Everyone does have a house by
the river, you'll see." Mikulas directed me to my
house. He was very kind, He moved on and I thanked
him. My house was the most beautiful thing I had ever
seen It was made entirely of flower petals It was made
from many brilliant colors. I adored it. I went
inside to see my furnishings There was a stereo
there playing Opium by Marcy Playground What
a sad song. I love it though. It's so fitting
I layed down on a bed of roses and fell
asleep I was so happy I found the other side
of that fence. . .
